AEG Electric Gun
Airsoft sniper rifles are the ultimate in Airsoft stealth and weapons tactics. A lot of players want to try their hand at sniping at some point in their gaming experience that they’ll often look for cheap ones to buy so that they can satisfy their curiosity. However, choosing sniper rifles can be a bit of a headache especially when you take into account that there are cheap rifles that can outperform other expensive ones. You’re basically torn into thinking which cheap ones are really good then. If you have this same problem, then read on to know how you can acquire cheap sniper rifles that are quite good enough for you.

Lowest Prices

Sniper rifles don’t really come as cheap as $10. If you manage to get an airsoft rifle for as low as that price, you’ll find they won’t last for more than a month, and that’s if you’re lucky. However, a lot of sniper rifles can be bought for as low as $30 to $50. You can get these at wholesale, eBay or craigslist. Keep in mind however that you need to be absolutely sure about buying it since some could be scams. Others are just far worse than you imagined them to be and you’ll find yourself regretting that you spent more than $25 for one.

Moderately Cheaper

There are relatively cheap sniper rifles that are good enough and are surprisingly durable and reliable on the field. Performance of these cheaper rifles is sometimes good that they’re able to outmatch other expensive airsoft sniper rifles. As usual, you can get these at wholesale, craigslist, and eBay. The price range of these moderately cheap rifles is around the range of 40 to 75 dollars. Their designs are mainly the spring-powered sniper rifle type. They’re quite good in terms of range and accuracy and can even outperform the pricier AEGs that you see in the market these days. Although, the only downside to it is that they’re sometimes a lot bulkier and heavier than the AEG sniper rifles. However, some gas-powered sniper rifles are within this price range and can be more than a match for AEG rifles.

Shopping Tips

It’s always a good idea to look high and low for sniper rifles that are good, yet cheap. Some of the best priced airsoft rifles can be found on the internet. EBay is certainly one of the better places that you can browse through. Airsoft sites that offer cheap rifles are a good option also. However, it is more recommended that you browse around in Airsoft forums for information on where to get the best deals. A lot of Airsoft veteran players log onto these website forums to discuss tactics, equipments, and weapons. You can certainly learn a lot in these forums and you can even get good deals there. As always though, never give out your credit card number unless you absolutely know what you’re doing. Guard your personal information as if it were your life and try to reach a website’s phone number whenever you’re in doubt.

Airsoft sniper rifles are all high quality no matter how cheap they are. Of course, there’re some exceptions. So it’s best that you reread this article again in order to be sure.

Airsoft Sniper Rifles – What Rifle do I Buy Gas or Spring?

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

Airsoft sniper rifles are ultra-realistic toy guns that can give any Airsoft player a sense of what it’s like to be a real soldier. However, due to the various designs and models of an Airsoft gun, especially when you’re talking about sniper rifle replicas, one can easily get confused on how to choose a gun that’d be just right. If you want to know which kind of Airsoft sniper rifle to buy, then this article will function as a guide to the pros and cons of buying these Airsoft weapons. For convenience’s sake, the focus will be on 2 types; the gas-powered and the spring-powered rifle.

Price

Aside from the fact that a gas-powered rifle and a spring-powered one have differing technologies, a big difference between them happens to be the price. Spring-powered rifles have the upper hand on this because they’re generally a lot cheaper than gas airsoft sniper rifles. The price range of gas-powered rifles is around $175. Some designs of these types are even doubled in price due to additional functions and features. The spring-powered ones tend to range around $100 to $125 depending on the quality.

Velocity

When it comes to velocity, the gas-powered sniper rifles generally do better than the spring-powered ones. Gas-powered guns basically shoot for more than 500 fps (feet per second). Some gas-powered designs have speeds of 550 fps and sometimes more. However, some high quality spring-powered rifles can shoot at around 450 fps. Other high-end spring-powered designs can even shoot at nearly 500 fps.

Rate of Fire

All spring-powered rifles are made to fire with single-shots only. This means that you’d have to cock it every time you want to shoot. Some gas-powered airsoft sniper rifles are semi-automatic, but these tend to be a lot pricier. Most gas sniper rifles are still available as single shots too (which makes it more realistic), so that makes only a bit of a difference. However, it’s important to note that gas-powered rifles are basically easier to cock the trigger than the spring-powered rifles. This makes it a huge bonus during CQB (Close Quarters Battle) games wherein there’s very little time to reload or cock the trigger. On the other hand, sniper rifles aren’t really advisable during CQBs.

Accuracy

There’s still a minor debate going on between people who think that accuracy of both spring-powered and gas-powered rifles are pretty much the same. There’s really no sufficient evidence as to which one of these gun types are superior. However, if you put into account the fact that airsoft sniper rifles with scopes installed on them are supposed to be shot at long distance ranges, then you can safely say that the gas-powered ones are basically more accurate in terms of range. Although, you’d have to take into consideration the fact that if you’re using gas sniper rifles, you’re going to need to use slightly heavier Airsoft pellets (also called BBs). In short, you need heavier pellets in order to achieve maximum accuracy.

So what’s the final determination then? Well, as with most everything else concerning games like battle simulations, that all depends on how you play your game. Meaning, if you want a sniper rifle that’s affordable and still does the job pretty well, then you’d want to go with a spring-powered one. But if you want your gun to excel at performance, then you should go with gas-powered airsoft sniper rifles that are a bit more expensive. As usual though, the decision is basically yours.
